Don Portnova and Loretta Portnova We have been a part of the Victory World Outreach Team of churches for nearly 50 years. We have pastored several churches in the USA and also Northern Ireland. Now settled in Longford for nearly 10 years. Our mission is to reach the lost with the good news of the gospel of Jesus and disciple couples helping them to find expression in service in the body of Christ and to plant churches to expand the kingdom of God.

About VWO Ireland

VWO is a multi-generational Christian church dedicated to reaching people from all walks of life with the hope of the Gospel. We were started from our home church in Colorado Springs and are excited to bring the same vision of reaching people for Jesus, teaching them the Gospel & planting churches to Longford Ireland! OUR VISION

Victory World Outreach is a local church that is extending the Kingdom of God around the world through evangelism, discipleship and church planting. Jesus has given us His marching orders in Mark 16:15, “ …Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” We evangelize (concerts, door-to-door outreach, family events, etc.) and are deliberate in discipleship and church planting.

OUR FELLOWSHIP HAS NEW CHURCH PLANTS ALL OVER THE WORLD EVERY YEAR. IN ADDITION TO THAT, VWO DENTON HAS PLANTED 8 CHURCHES DIRECTLY FROM WITHIN. FIVE IN TEXAS, TWO IN COSTA RICA, AND ONE IN AFRICA.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

SERVICES

Each of our services has a different song service, message from one of our pastors, and activities for the kids!.

DRESS

We want you to feel comfortable coming to church. Come in jeans and a t-shirt or in a dress and heels. You will see a variety of attires during each of our services.

CHILDREN

We love our Victory Kids and know how important it is for them to make friends & to be well cared for at church. We offer childcare at each of our services for ages 0-4 and Victory kids 6- 10 yrs old meet 1x per month for Bible study and crafts during service times. Victory Youth ages 11-20 meet 1x per month on the last Friday at 7pm.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God.

  • That the 66 books of the Old and New Testament were inspired by the Spirit of God as originally written

  • That the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct

GOD

We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the absolute and essential deity of our Lord Jesus Christ

  • In His eternal existence, with the Father in pre-incarnate glory

  • In His work of creation, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death and bodily resurrection

  • In His triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry and personal return

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the absolute and essential deity, and in the personality of the Holy Spirit

  • Who convinces of sin, of righteousness and of judgment

  • Who regenerates, indwells, seals, sanctifies, illuminates and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ

  • Who baptizes believers at conversion into the Body of Christ and bestows upon them His gifts sovereignly as He wills and fills those yielded to Him

MANKIND

We believe that Adam was divinely created in the image of God

  • That by the sin of disobedience he fell from that state

  • That all his posterity inherited spiritual depravity and defilement

  • That all men therefore are guilty before God and condemned to physical and spiritual death

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God

  • That by the Father, Christ voluntarily suffered a propitiatory death

  • That justification is by faith alone in the all-sufficient sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ

  • That those whom God has effectually called shall be divinely preserved and ultimately perfected in the image of the Lord
